⛵ Meeting Highlights 🌻
- Lake: The lake water level and spillway flow are normal. The annual dam inspection report was accepted by the State DCR. Additionally, the lake needs to be restocked with fish. The Board will review the Virginia Department of Waterways and Rivers (DWR) guidelines and will have more information at the March Board meeting.
- Buildings: The mailbox shed roof will be replaced and the shed will be repainted in March-April.
Awaiting estimates for the work planned at the Clubhouse. This includes installing a cement sidewalk at the Pool Restroom side of the Annex, which will provide handicapped access to the Clubhouse front door via the Annex portico. Work also includes redoing the front patio and steps. This work is scheduled in the Five-Year Plan and will be paid for out of the Reserve Fund.
- Cleanup: Spring Cleanup of the Clubhouse property has begun.
🏖️ The Pool 🏖️
The Pool is getting a makeover. When we inspected the pool last month we found that it had sprung another leak. This is the second leak in 2 years. Rather than fix the leak, the Board decided to execute the renovation project planned for 2024. The project includes new plaster, tile, coping, concrete decking, and fencing. The work is expected to take 3 months and to be completed in time for opening Memorial Day Weekend.
